Our mission is simple: to pass down time-honored skills and trades that have traditionally been shared from generation to generation. What began with hunting has grown to include fishing, sewing, gardening, cooking, canning, meat preservation, and more. Through these hands-on experiences, we instill values such as leadership, teamwork, self-reliance, confidence, social and emotional intelligence, and responsibility.
We believe in active participation and creating positive experiences—even when things don’t go as planned. Not every hunt will be successful, not every loaf of bread will rise, and not every plant will bear fruit—but each challenge is an opportunity to learn and grow. We embrace these moments as stepping stones to success, reinforcing perseverance and a lifelong love of learning.
To keep our programs accessible and community-focused, we operate through county chapters that organize local events and activities. These chapters partner with local businesses to provide resources, expertise, and support, fostering a strong sense of community and civic responsibility. By working together, we create meaningful connections that ensure the preservation of valuable skills for future generations.
