After-School Programs

After-School Programs

Teaching Our Traditions (TOT) is excited to launch a new after-school enrichment program beginning February 2026, starting with students in grades 3–5. TOT will be offering the program at the West Geauga School District facilities. The pilot program will run from February through March and will feature hands-on, skill-based activities that connect classroom learning to real-world applications. The program kicks off with a deep dive into Op Art, where students will master optical illusions to create vibrating patterns, hidden images, and the perception of depth. Future sessions will explore diverse topics such as: Model building and architectural design, exploring electric circuits, nature-based art and environmental exploration.

Operated independently by TOT, the program emphasizes creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving through engaging experiences in areas such as science, math, and the arts. Activities are designed to be age-appropriate, inclusive, and focused on participation and enjoyment.

The program will take place in supervised indoor spaces with trained staff, clear safety protocols, and structured dismissal procedures. Following the pilot, the initiative is expected to expand to serve students from early elementary through high school, with a continued focus on experiential learning, skill development, and community engagement.

TOT will be hosting a parent meeting on January 27, 2026 at 7:00 pm in the WG Middle School Library
