Another Successful Weekend with TOT

This past weekend was another great success for Teaching Our Traditions (TOT) as young hunters and mentors came together to share the excitement of the outdoors. One of the highlights was watching Danny, an 11-year-old in his first year of hunting, experience a milestone moment.

Danny is no stranger to outdoor adventures. He loves fishing, riding four-wheelers, and spending time outside whenever he can. When he’s not exploring nature, he’s busy playing football and basketball, showing the same determination and focus that he brings to the field and the woods.

This was Danny’s third time out hunting this year, and his hard work and patience paid off when he successfully harvested a doe. The smile on his face said it all; a mix of pride, excitement, and gratitude for the experience. Moments like these are what TOT is all about: teaching respect for nature, building confidence, and passing down traditions that connect generations.

The weekend was filled with learning, laughter, and teamwork. Mentors guided the young hunters through every step, from safety and tracking to understanding the importance of conservation. Each outing reinforces the values that make TOT special: responsibility, respect, and appreciation for the great outdoors.

Congratulations to Danny on his first successful hunt and to all the mentors and participants who made the weekend one to remember. The future of our outdoor traditions is bright with young hunters like him leading the way.
