New After-School Enrichment Program Launches in February

Teaching Our Traditions (TOT), is excited to launch a new after-school enrichment program beginning February 2026. The pilot program will serve students in grades 3–5 and run from February through March, offering hands-on, skill-based activities that connect classroom learning to real-world experiences. The programs will take place at the West Geauga School District facilities.

Operated independently by TOT, the program is designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and collaboration. Students will engage in age-appropriate, inclusive activities across science, math, and the arts—encouraging teamwork, problem-solving, and joyful learning in a supportive environment.

Student safety and well-being are central to the program’s design. Sessions will take place in supervised indoor spaces with trained staff, clear safety protocols, and structured dismissal procedures to ensure a positive and secure experience for all participants.

Following the pilot, the program is expected to expand to serve students from early elementary through high school. As it grows, the initiative will continue to emphasize experiential learning, skill development, and meaningful community engagement. Additional details will be shared with West Geauga families through the school newsletter.

Business Partnership Opportunities

Teaching Our Traditions also offers local businesses the opportunity to partner with TOT’s after-school enrichment programs, creating strong connections between education, workforce skills, and the local community.

As the program expands beyond the pilot phase, businesses may get involved through sponsorships, mentorship, guest speaking, hands-on projects, and career exploration experiences. These partnerships are designed to enrich student learning while allowing businesses to invest in future talent and contribute to long-term community development.
